University of Idaho - Brand Campaign

This one’s personal. And here’s why.

Whenever a college sports tournament is on TV, maybe 10% of the placements are brand awareness spots for the colleges competing. They all have an anthem, sports montage, ivy-clad buildings, laughing students on green grass. Yawn.

They all start to look the same. I jokingly put the VO for Ohio on top of an Oregon ad and it worked. That’s how damn homogenous the messaging is.

So, when the University of Idaho asked for a brand campaign to show how important the University is to Idaho, my team and I decided to take a completely new approach.
