Generation Seek & Destroy
There’s a little speck on the earth. From space it is not visible. With magnification from inner orbit, the speck wiggles in waves of light. Light, traveling through temperature and density differences, becomes muddy. Turbulent.
It could be a plane bound for an island, carrying cargo like a prisoner, or delivering a prophet’s might upon a monument to money.
Most likely it’s a person. That makes it hard though. Think about the family, the lessons learned, the collective knowledge of the human brain. When it’s a person, feeling kicks in. Feeling is no good.
The speck is assuredly a thing. Perhaps it has relations with others. But think of the collective knowledge that speck used to harm others. The speck is a pock. It is neither a person nor a thing but a cancer now. Something to be surgically removed from existence. Protect the body. Take the knife and make the insertion. We don’t put cancer on trial.
By now, the speck is everything evil. It is foe. It is feared. It is ready to be scratched off if no one else does anything. Are you ready to pull the trigger?
The funny thing about the speck is that it always exists. It just depends on how you feel during any given day, year, administration, regime. The speck remains.
