Endings

The end is never really the end. There’s something beyond. Collective perception may end, but there is no end. Things are endless. It’s quite awesome.

It’s taught and told throughout our lives. This idea that energy is conserved doesn’t really hit until it’s decided to melt away for a while, look at the world with glazed eyes for a while.

The most basic components, freeform and loose, of our lives are complicated beyond our understanding. A mushroom spore contains more promise than a GPU working on blockchain. Yet, the composition of the spore is singular, but complex. The composition of the GPU, multitudinous, but singular.

But it all will break down to something like a spore. Or a rock. A heap of muddy ash in fiery lahar.

We’ll pray for rain, wondering where it went. Or we won’t. Energy is indifferent.

I’d like to watch the rain, though.
